Supporting pediatric patients with autism: any tips?

Hello all, I'm a pediatrician looking to better support my patients with autism and their families. I've been reading up on the latest research and techniques, but I wanted to hear from those who have firsthand experience. What have you found to be most helpful in managing your child's autism? Are there any specific therapies, tools, or strategies that you've found to be particularly effective? I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences! #pediatrics #autism #childhealthcare

Hi there! I can't speak for everyone, but I've found that ABA therapy has been really helpful for my son with autism. It's given him the tools to communicate and manage his emotions more effectively. We've also found visual schedules and social stories to be really helpful in structuring his day and teaching him social skills. #autismtherapy #ABA #visualschedules

My wife and I have tried a few different things with our kids, and what's worked best for us has been a combination of therapies. In addition to ABA, we've also found occupational therapy to be really helpful for managing sensory issues. And we've worked with a speech therapist to help our kids communicate more effectively. #occupationaltherapy #speechtherapy #pediatrictherapies

I've worked with a lot of families who have children with autism, and I've found that consistency is key. Whatever therapies or strategies you choose, make sure you're consistent and patient. It can take time to see progress, but it's so worth it in the end. #consistency #patience #pediatriccare
